The Early Bird
I think I’m my happiest when I’m mind-numbingly busy. Only recently have I been able to feel good about relaxing. This can be credited to my housemates Cahill, Max, Austin, and my friend Jim as well as the economy for destroying my livelihood at Faneuil Hall this summer and leaving me with a lot of time trying to figure out what I’m doing with my life (just kidding). I think discovering yoga as well has had a positive influence on my learning how to take it easy.
Where am I going with this? I don’t know. Since I woke up this morning, I did work on my old Professor Leonard Brown’s My Space page, then I did a bunch of email management (I was away from my computer ALL DAY yesterday, which is a welcome diversion. More on that later), and I sent out email list updates as well as an update on Facebook about my show this Friday night in Boston (at the Barking Crab) which should be great. I got a call from Will Dailey about the album, which he’s been a real champ about in terms of staying on me to make sure that I’m staying on top of things…which reminds me, I need to call Max…
…Ok, still not picking up. So, Will…Yea, we’re working on references for the new album and he talked about a Tom Petty “Wildflowers” vibe and I went and downloaded the album today and it’s fantastic. I’ve been a casual Tom Petty for a while but I dig the hell out of the album. I think we’re in good hands.
I’ve been at Faneuil Hall the last two days and they’ve been really good, which makes me happy. I think there might be some hope for the rest of the summer after all. I’m back on my game too because I got two more phone numbers…haha. I’ve been in a drought for a while but it’s good to know that I’ve got my mojo back, even though I’m not going to follow-up on it.
I’ve noticed that I’ve started to get a few more readers a day on the blog. Welcome! I’m still trying to figure out what exactly I’m trying to do with my blogging exploits so thank you for remaining with me during these growing pains.
Later skaters!
