September 20
Two more outdoor shows.
Friday night the band played at Faneuil Hall. We were supposed to start at 5 but didn’t start until 5:30. Brian didn’t show up until 6:30 and by the time 9 pm rolled around, Max was wrapped in a blanket trying to stay warm. It was, however, a blast to play for everyone and we had a couple who danced for two hours to our tunes and sold a bunch of CDs. After the gig, we went out to eat with some new friends that we made at Faneuil Hall and I got a delicious hamburger. It was a good night.
The Faneuil Hall gig was a nice no-pressure gig so I hope to be able to do it again (next Friday perhaps?) before it gets too cold. Thanks for hanging everyone.
Today I played a 5K event run by Northeastern and played over on the Charles River Esplanade. It was a chill gig and I only ended up playing for an hour-and-a-half (though I was hired for 3). C’est La Vie. I had some weird technical difficulties when my mic attachment broke but I was able to look past it. Because I’m a trooper.
The response to the blog this week has been outstanding. I hope to up the ante going forward with my posts and make them more interesting (so yea, sorry about this one) but keep reading and keep commenting!
Thanks to the folks from Our Stage and Sonicbids (can’t we all just get along) who have been reading and exchanging emails with me. I was a recipient of superb customer service from both sites this week.
I’m getting ready to go see my brother play tonight. Hurrah!
