I’ve never been a You Tube oriented person. When I lived with my drummer Max, he used to sit around with my other roommate Austin and watch all sorts of crazy stuff and I used to be around it sometime but it was never really my bag. I can’t argue, however, the impact that it’s had on music. EVERYTHING at your finger tips. If you can’t afford to see U2 live, you can watch tons of concert and studio footage and it’s all free. There have been plenty of people who have become internet sensations because of You Tube and though I don’t desire to be that kind of sensation, I did get a camcorder last year to start posting songs and videos and I’m renewing my initiative to start constantly putting content on You Tube.
Though I’ve always found writing songs more fulfilling than performing covers, it’s great exposure to put a cover up on the web because the hope is that people are drawn to your original material after hearing a song that they know and love. For that reason I put 5 songs on You Tube today that I recorded with Marie’s computer’s camera and built-in microphone.
Check out my You Tube page to hear acoustic versions of the following songs:
“Anna” (original)
“You Don’t Love Me (At All)” (original)
“Wonderwall” (by Oasis)
“I’ll Stop The World and Melt With You” (by Modern English)
“See You Soon” (by Coldplay)
I don’t know how long or how often I’ll be posting. I’ll be looking to do promo and see if I can get some momentum. Please let me know other covers that would be cool to do and I hope to be putting lots of new original songs too. Thoughts and comments are welcomed.
Back to work!

Brian, the amount of covers i could suggest could be another paragraph long comment…Ha. I’ll try and narrow down some i’ve been thinking of lately and get them your way. There are two or three i’ve been suggesting around to my friends and such lately that will certainly be in the list. It’s times like that when i wish i could play guitar and do a few myself. I’m glad to some more youtube action, too. Rock. Just don’t do an “youtube all-stars” medley with ‘Chocolate rain’, ‘numa numa’, ‘peanut butter jelly time’ and the annoying ‘Badger’ song. Or…wait…would that be *just* the thing to do? Hmmm…
