Panera has saved this tour. I brought a lot of work with me on the road (and have encountered a lot of snow), so I schedule my stops and breaks with Paneras that I find on the road. It’s so welcoming and the free wi-fi keeps me going. (/end commercial)
I played at Carnegie Mellon University [...]
I am currently a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. It’s true, when I’m anywhere except Pittsburgh, I’m a Patriots fan or I suppose, a bigger Red Sox fan than anything else, but it’s tough to not be in Pittsburgh and be a Steelers fan. They just (pardon the cliche) bleed black ‘n’ gold. I saw a woman [...]
So, the weather is almost as bad here as it is back home. My second show (Butler, PA) was postponed this afternoon to the back end of the tour. It’ll now be on February 4th, which works out pretty well. I needed today to get things with the rest of my life back in order.
I [...]
On the eve of the tour, an album name. We’ve Got To Find An Easier Way. It’s a long name, but tough cookies. The mixes are sounding great…Talk soon
Alas, it has been a week since I last wrote, but I’ve been busy. I have to stop and say (like the rest of the world) that I am extremely excited about our new president Barack Obama. I listened to the inauguration speech and we all have work to do now so let’s all do [...]
Two weeks from today I will leave to make the haul to Selinsgrove, PA and Susquehanna University and will proceed to travel around Pennsylvania for another week and will have a handful of college shows. I am very much looking forward to it. This tour came together nicely in pretty short order and I’m impressed [...]
Before I get into this post, I’d like to announce that I have booked January 30th at Carnegie-Mellon University. That makes 6 shows for the tour! Also, March 14th will be CD release show #2 in Lowell. I will have more information shortly.
I met with Abby Getman today. She’s designing the artwork for the CD. [...]
I’ve added three shows to the calendar:
February 7th–Lowell; THE OLD COURT
February 17th–Lowell; Open Mic Feature
March 13th–CD RELEASE
Tickets are now available for the CD Release though I’ll make the official announcement in a couple days. Cahill is playing but I’m confirming a couple more details with The Lilypad before I go nuts. There will be less [...]
Early on in the studio (the first week actually), I was talking about how sick I am of most singer-songwriters (which would make me a hypocrite) and I joked that I was going to call the album Not A Pussy to make fun of the whole sensitive singer-songwriter genre. It became the running joke for [...]
I started my TA job at Northeastern University today. I’m helping to teach the class entitled, “History of Rock Music”. What more could you ask for?
Also, I tentatively booked the 5th date for my tour. January 27th at Susquehanna University. I’ve met my expectations for putting this tour together but if I can get one [...]
