Two weeks from today I will leave to make the haul to Selinsgrove, PA and Susquehanna University and will proceed to travel around Pennsylvania for another week and will have a handful of college shows. I am very much looking forward to it. This tour came together nicely in pretty short order and I’m impressed with the amount of shows that I’ve been able to put together through the holidays. I’m waiting for a few more contracts to go through but barring something unexpected, things look like they’re a go.
I have 6 shows so far over the week-and-a-half but I have 5 in mid-atlantic area at colleges. My goal for the semester is 20 college shows and I’m going to be nearly half-way there after this tour.
I have three shows on tap that I’m hoping will go through:
One is pending whether I can afford to go out of my way to make the trip.
One is pending on contract and date negotiations.
One is pending on whether or not I can get my contact to return my emails.
Now that I’m two weeks out, I’m debating on pulling the plug on planning and starting to promote. Still, I want to load up my schedule with as many shows as possible but I think I’m going to pull back. It’s unfortunate that I wasn’t able to get to some of the markets that I would have liked to (Rochester and Buffalo among those) but I’ve gotten a good response from schools that want to have me through in the fall. I may try a month long tour in the fall but we’ll see how things go at the end of the month.
Now I’m going to switch gears and I’m going to plan the rest of my semester for New England-area college shows.
