OK, that may be a little bit of an exaggeration but most of it is in there I’m pretty sure. I can’t open the other door of the pod because it has a TV nestled so securely that any disturbance would end my delicate Jenga balance. Sorry to those of you that I haven’t been able to connect with as I prepare to leave. Apparently, I have a lot more friends (good ones) than I realized and things have been hectic. I also apologize for the sporadic nature of my posts. I have had moving preparation on the mind the better part of the last two weeks and have been operating inside of my head mostly.
Tonight’s my last night in Somerville. I packed the majority of our stuff into the Pod yesterday with the help of Max “Awesome Guy” Zemanovic. Marie did a lot of pacing and was a champ about things and we’re good to go.
I can’t believe people can just up and move across the country. It happens all the time but I didn’t get the full force of it until the last week or so. It’s far. I’m finally at a pretty consistent state of nervousness. Still, I have no doubt in the mind that it’s the absolute right thing to do. I suppose, however, that “Handsome” Max Zemanovic would say that any absolutes should be questioned, or are inherently false, or something.
As you can tell by the scattershot approach to this entry, I’m pretty much fried. I did all of my Christmas shopping today, kicked it with my Cahill brothers last night, and had to get up at 7 to finish packing. I’m going to my final class at the yoga studio that I’ve been going to for the last couple years then back to home sweet Lowell (the trade is off!) for the rest of the week.
Signing off from the air mattress in my former bedroom:
